The 10th meeting of the Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Consultative Coordination Center focused on the response to computer incidents was held in Moscow

On November 21, 2019, in Moscow, the 10th meeting of the Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Consultative Coordination Center focused on the response to computer incidents (CCC CSTO) was held, in which delegations of the CSTO member states and representatives of national authorized bodies on responding to computer incidents took part.
Welcoming remarks were made by the Head of the Office for countering challenges and threats of the CSTO Secretariat, who in his speech emphasized the growing role of the information sphere in the life of the individual, society and the state, raising to a new level the relevance of the issue of ensuring the information security of the CSTO member states and attaching particular importance enhancing cooperation within the Organization, especially in the areas of security for critical infrastructures and counter the use of information and communication technologies for unlawful and terrorist purposes. The need for a consolidated counteraction is once again confirmed by global computer attacks, which have recently undergone a large number of countries around the world, including the CSTO member states.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that in 2019, an increase in the volume, quality and effectiveness of joint measures to respond to computer incidents was noted, considering them an important component of ensuring the security of the information space of the CSTO member states.
The members of the CSTO CCC Council also discussed relevant issues related to the results of the past computer training on responding to computer incidents, positive experience in protecting national critical information infrastructure objects from cyber threats, information about computer incidents in the information spaces of the CSTO member states and information and analytical materials, submitted by the national contact points for the period since the meeting of the previous CSTO CCC Council.
