The XI meeting of the Council of the CSTO Consultative Coordination Center for Computer Incident Response was held

On June 29, 2021, the CSTO Secretariat in Moscow hosted the XI meeting of the Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Consultative Coordination Center for Computer Incident Response (CSTO CCC), which was attended by delegations from national authorized bodies on computer incident response of the CSTO member States.

The CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov opened the meeting and addressed meeting participants. He noted the need to increase efforts to ensure cybersecurity and improve cooperation between the CSTO member States in this regard.

The CSTO CCC Council was renewed and the Chairman of the CSTO CCC Council was re-elected for a three-year term.

The report of the newly elected Chairman of the Council on the CSTO CCC activities in 2020 noted an increase in the volume and quality of joint measures taken to respond to computer incidents as an important component of ensuring the security of the information space of the CSTO member States.

In the course of the meeting, members of the CSTO CCC Council discussed topical issues related to the results of the past command and post training on computer security of the CSTO CCC contact points and the planned technical training on computer security. They shared their positive experience in protecting national critical information infrastructure facilities from cyber threats, information on computer incidents in the information space of CSTO member States, and information and analytical materials provided by the national contact points.

At the meeting, the CSTO Secretary General issued an order on rewarding the most distinguished employees of authorized competent bodies of the CSTO member States on the results of the CSTO CCC coordinated activities on the response to computer incidents.
